About

Nik Dodani is an actor, writer, filmmaker, and cultural commentator best known for his breakout role as Zahid on Netflix’s Atypical. His wide-ranging career spans television, film, and stage, with acting credits that include Murphy Brown, Escape Room, Twisters, Waitress on Broadway, and multiple animated series. Most recently, he starred alongside Lisa Kudrow and Brian Cox in the HBO Max comedy The Parenting.

Nik began his career in stand-up comedy, making his late-night debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and quickly became a sought-after creative voice. He’s created content for organizations like MoveOn.org and NowThis, and developed original scripted series for both Netflix and Disney.

Behind the camera, Nik wrote and directed Blue Boy, a short film adaptation of the award-winning novel that is now being developed into a feature. He also directed Houston Rising, a documentary short produced for Amazon, and served as a co-producer of the Tony Award–winning Life of Pi on Broadway and its North American tour.

Through his production company, Cosmic Pomegranate, Nik is building a dynamic slate of original work across television, film, theater, and digital media — blending humor, heart, and narrative innovation. He is also the co-founder of The Salon, a nonprofit collective supporting South Asian artists and executives in entertainment.

Whether performing, directing, or speaking, Nik brings emotional depth, sharp humor, and human insight to every stage — offering audiences a fresh lens on identity, creativity, and the power of being seen.

Nik Dodani’s keynote offerings will be announced soon. His work as a speaker draws from his background as an actor, writer, filmmaker, and performer — blending humor, storytelling, and lived experience into conversations that are thoughtful, engaging, and deeply human.

Current speaking themes include:

Humor, Communication & Human Connection: Nik explores how humor can build trust, ease tension, and help people communicate more authentically — whether in the workplace, on stage, or in everyday life. These conversations are especially suited for organizations looking for a fresh take on leadership, confidence, executive presence, and connection.

Creativity, Identity & Purpose: Drawing from his work across film, television, theater, and comedy, Nik speaks about the creative process, finding your voice, and navigating ambition, artistry, and meaning in an overstimulated world. This lane is ideal for audiences interested in storytelling, creative courage, reinvention, and self-expression.

Confidence, Self-Image & Becoming: Nik is also developing a more personal, storytelling-forward talk centered on transformation, visibility, queerness, and the long road to feeling at home in yourself. This offering is especially resonant for Pride programming, ERGs, college audiences, and identity-forward events.

Nik’s talks may be presented as keynotes, fireside conversations, moderated discussions, or interactive sessions. He is particularly interested in building experiences that include audience engagement, crowd interaction, and visual storytelling elements.
