Recommended Keynote:

The Conviction Effect: Decisive Leadership in Uncertainty

When uncertainty rises, hesitation becomes the costliest decision a leader can make. The Conviction Effect gives leaders a clear, actionable blueprint for navigating ambiguity with confidence, speed, and strategic clarity.

Drawing from the life-or-death moments that shaped her leadership instincts, and her journey building five businesses from zero capital, Norliza reveals the internal mechanisms that allow leaders to decide boldly, act quickly, and create alignment even when the path forward is unclear.

This keynote reframes decisive leadership as a teachable system. Leaders learn how to eliminate analysis paralysis, accelerate execution, communicate conviction, and sustain momentum during shifting conditions, limited information, and organizational pressure.

This is not inspiration. It is a leadership operating system forged in adversity and refined in global business environments.

Ideal For:
  • Executive leadership teams navigating volatility
  • Sales leaders managing shifting markets
  • Directors and mid-level managers taking on greater responsibility
  • High-growth companies needing faster execution
  • Strategic planning sessions and leadership off-sites
  • Organizations where slow decisions create missed opportunities
Attendees Will Gain:

1. The Conviction Moment: How to identify the precise point where hesitation must end and decisive action must begin. Leaders learn to recognize and trust the cues that signal it is time to move.

2. Speed Over Perfection: Why fast, aligned decisions outperform slow, perfect ones in uncertain environments. A tactical framework for accelerating execution without sacrificing strategic clarity.

3. Adversity as Forward Momentum: How to convert setbacks, pressure, and ambiguity into fuel for progress. Leaders learn to move teams through disruption without losing morale or direction.

4. The 60-Second Decision Script: A tool that helps leaders distill complexity into simple, actionable choices. Practical steps leaders can apply immediately to unblock stalled initiatives.

5. The 5PM Alignment Ritual: A daily three-step method for ensuring decisions stick and teams stay aligned. A repeatable habit for sustaining momentum, visibility, and accountability.

Why This Keynote Resonates

Leaders do not need more theory. They need a decision-making system they can rely on under pressure.

Norliza’s frameworks resonate because she has lived the consequences of high-stakes decisions without resources, support, or guaranteed outcomes. Her direct, pragmatic tools help leaders build:

  • greater confidence in ambiguity
  • faster and more aligned execution
  • stronger influence across teams
  • resilience when decisions carry weight

Leaders leave equipped, not just inspired, to make faster, smarter decisions that move their organizations forward.

Adapt and Disrupt: Building Creativity’s Business ROI

Your organization is trapped in a dangerous cycle: quarterly pressures drive short-term thinking, innovation initiatives keep failing to gain traction, and attempts at “design thinking” have produced more Post-it notes than actual results. Meanwhile, industry disruptors with seemingly limitless creative capacity are capturing market share and top talent. The harsh reality? Without a systematic approach to building creative capacity, your business faces obsolescence in an economy that increasingly rewards imagination over execution.

In this paradigm-shifting keynote, creativity expert Natalie Nixon dismantles the myth that creativity is a “nice-to-have” soft skill and reveals the hard business case for imagination as a primary competitive advantage. Through rigorous research and compelling case studies, Natalie shows why organizations that systematically cultivate creativity outperform peers by up to 20% in revenue growth and 15% in market valuation.

Leaders gain access to Natalie’s proprietary frameworks to assess their organization’s creative capacity, identify critical gaps, and implement targeted interventions with measurable ROI. From reimagining meeting structures to redesigning physical and digital workspaces, this session offers practical strategies that have helped organizations significantly expand innovation pipelines and improve solution quality.

Participants leave with a clear roadmap for building creativity as an organizational muscle—complete with metrics, methods to overcome resistance, and strategies to embed creative practices into everyday operations. Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA) – is the defining reality of modern business. For today’s executives, mastering VUCA is essential to navigating the turbulence and turning uncertainty into opportunity.

The Age of Accelerated Change

We are witnessing the fastest, most disruptive period in corporate history. Markets shift overnight. Technologies leapfrog decades. Consumer behaviors evolve in real time. The scale and speed of change are without precedent:

  • On April 3-4, 2025, US markets lost $6.6 trillion in value following President Trump’s announcement of tariffs on 90 countries. Five days later, after the decision was paused, markets rebounded by $5.4 trillion – a staggering single-day recovery.
  • On January 27, 2025, China’s DeepSeek unveiled its R-1 AI model, instantly disrupting global tech. U.S. high-tech firms lost $1 trillion in a single day. NVIDIA alone dropped $600 billion, the largest single-day market cap loss in US history.
  • It took the airline industry 68 years to reach 50 million users. It took Pokémon Go just 19 days.

These events aren’t anomalies – they’re signals of a world in permanent flux. Leadership strategies must evolve accordingly.

The Executive Imperative in a VUCA Landscape

For C-suite executives, this moment demands more than operational excellence. It requires visionary leadership, systemic thinking, and a willingness to experiment at scale. Key questions every executive team must address:

  • How can we adapt faster?
  • What systems will allow us to pivot, scale, and sustain momentum?
  • How do we build organizational resilience at every level?
  • How do we make bold, high-stakes decisions amid uncertainty?
  • What kind of leadership is required when there is no clarity?
  • How do we lead through crises (economic shocks, pandemics, geopolitical upheaval?
  • How do we keep our people engaged, aligned & inspired amid constant change?
  • How can we future-proof our business in the face of accelerating disruption?
VUCA as a Strategic Advantage

Leaders who understand the nature of VUCA don't just survive—they thrive. They create adaptive organizations, nurture courageous cultures, and lead with both decisiveness and humility. In a world where transformation is not optional, mastering VUCA is essential. Those who develop the capacity it will outpace disruption—and shape the future of business.

Why Scott McArthur Is a Strong Fit for Convera

  • Aligns closely with Convera’s focus on leadership, change mindset, teamwork, engagement, and big-picture thinking
  • Particularly effective for leadership teams navigating sustained change rather than acute crisis
  • Speaks directly to the “Messy Middle”—when performance is stable, transformation is largely complete, and judgement and leadership behavior become the key differentiators
  • Helps leaders regain clarity, focus, and momentum in complex, fast-changing environments
  • Brings a distinctive blend of future literacy, human behavior insight, and strategic foresight
  • Offers credible perspectives on technology, AI, and market change without hype
  • Delivers executive-appropriate interactivity that prompts reflection and discussion without putting individuals on the spot
  • Well-suited for an offsite setting where senior leaders are stepping back to reset priorities, alignment, and direction

Proposed Session:

Summary “I help leaders and organisations navigate the messy middle by building future literacy and offering credible glimpses of what could come next, so they can make better decisions with confidence and hope.”

I work primarily with CEOs, executive teams, and boards who are leading through periods of sustained change. Often this is not crisis leadership, but the more difficult phase where organisations are performing well enough, yet progress has slowed and traditional leadership levers no longer create the same momentum. The themes you highlight, particularly leading through change, mindset, teamwork, engagement, and big-picture thinking, sit directly within this space.

For an audience at Senior Director and C-suite level, I would typically frame the session around helping leaders navigate what I call the “Messy Middle”. This is the phase where transformation programmes are largely complete, governance and performance management are in place, but judgement, focus, and collective leadership behaviour become the differentiators of performance. The emphasis is on helping leaders think clearly about where to act next, how to create movement without burning things down, and how to lead effectively in an environment shaped by ongoing technological and market change.

The session would be delivered as a keynote with executive-appropriate interactivity. This is designed to prompt reflection and discussion, challenge assumptions, and support practical leadership conversations, without putting individuals on the spot or turning the session into a workshop. I would tailor the content specifically to Convera once I have a clearer sense of current priorities and context.

I regularly deliver internationally and am comfortable working with global leadership teams (examples include Amazon, Microsoft, Swiss Re and Atos). A 60–90 minute slot works well for this type of audience and allows sufficient depth while keeping energy and engagement high.
